Student Experience

Another critical aspect of the education policy field is student experience; an area that Academica CEO, Rod Skinkle possesses expertise. As the Coordinator of Research on Student Experience in one of Canada's largest universities, Rod was involved in the early designs of the First Year Experience Survey, which is now used across Canada. In addition, he was on the team that first brought the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) to a Canadian school.

Building on these foundations, Academica Group has now conducted dozens of surveys and focus groups with college and university students across Canada, on a range of subjects:

• designing 'next generation' student career services portals
• student satisfaction and alumni engagement studies
• the impact on career competency development of being a student residence advisor
