JIBC to close Vancouver campus, cut 30 positions

March 14, 2013

Justice Institute of British Columbia president Michel Tarko announced Wednesday a number of steps to reduce spending at the institution. JIBC will review all programs and courses and suspend those that are no longer financially viable, while taking measures to minimize the impact on students. JIBC will also close its Vancouver campus, which has been underutilized, in June. Classes offered there will be moved to other JIBC campuses or be offered through partnerships with other institutions. Tarko also announced that JIBC will reduce its payroll by eliminating about 30 positions. JIBC News Release
