Labour market strong for 2012 graduate business degree recipients

Those who earned graduate degrees in business and management last year encountered a receptive job market, as 92% of 2012 graduates surveyed by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) were employed 3 months after graduation. That figure is 6 percentage points higher than that for 2011 graduates surveyed at the same time the year before in GMAC's Alumni Perspectives Survey. Approximately 77% of responding 2012 graduates said their starting salary met or surpassed their expectations, and 76% said they could not have obtained their job without their graduate management education.
