Report assesses economic impact of international education in Comox Valley

North Island College and School District 71 (Comox Valley) have released results of an economic impact study on international education in the Comox Valley in BC. The report shows that international students and their visiting relatives and friends are making significant financial expenditures in the region (estimated at $6.8 million in the 2011-12 school year). During the current school year, NIC welcomed 116 students from 21 countries. Both the college and school board project growth of at least 50% within the next 4 years. NIC News Release
