$112 million for applied genome research

The federal government announced yesterday the results of Genome Canada's Bioproducts and Crops Competition. $112 million will be distributed to carry out 12 new genomics and proteomics research projects. Researchers on these projects are from uAlberta, UBC, uCalgary, Concordia, McGill, uManitoba, uOttawa, uSask, uToronto, and UWO. Genome Canada News Release
