$24-million expansion at ABU

March 2, 2009

To address its current capacity constraints, Atlantic Baptist University, a Christian-based institution located in Moncton, is embarking on a $24-million expansion project that will see a new administration and education building, a student residence, and an arena. Built 12 years ago with an intended capacity of 450 students, ABU now has about 800 students enrolled. The expansion would allow the school to build a student body of between 1,000 and 1,200 students over the next 5 years. The project could begin as early as this summer. Times & Transcript
