Alberta to launch online centralized application system

February 10, 2009

In 2010, students applying to Alberta post-secondary institutions will use a Web-based centralized system for applications. Although those using Apply Alberta will have to give fees to each school, they will not have to pay the $10 access fee for their academic transcripts. In the future, the system will be a hub for student loans, bursaries, and transfer information. BC and Ontario are the only other provinces with centralized applications, and the latter has separate systems for colleges and universities. Calgary Herald
