Algoma U to build campus in St. Thomas

September 13, 2011

On Monday St. Thomas Mayor Heather Jackson-Chapman announced that Algoma University will become part of the southern Ontario city's Wellington St. school project. Staff with the Sault Ste. Marie-based university approached St. Thomas officials a few months ago about offering the first 2 years of its BA program in the city. Since then there have been a number of meetings, including a visit from Algoma U president Richard Myers. After the first 2 years at the St. Thomas site students will have to relocate to the Sault Ste. Marie campus. St. Thomas Times-Journal
