June 29, 2021
Postsecondary institutions in British Columbia are responding to a heat warning by cancelling classes and inviting campus and community members to use their spaces with cooling systems. The University of Victoria, Langara College, Simon Fraser University, and Vancouver Island University cancelled all on-campus and online classes, and either cancelled the work day for employees or encouraged employees to work from home. SFU and VIU invited community members to make use university buildings with cooling systems to take respite from the heat. UVic | VIU | Langara | SFU (BC)
