CBU launches inclusive learning program

August 30, 2019

Cape Breton University has introduced an inclusive learning program for students with intellectual disabilities, reports CBC. The CBU Inclusive program will support students between the ages of 18 and 24 who self-identify as having an intellectual disability and do not meet the admissions standards for credit study. The program will admit up to five new students each year, and these students may take up to three courses each term. While students will not receive credits for their courses, CBU will award a certificate once a student reaches their goals, which will allow the students to build a portfolio and work on life skills.
