CFS sues UPEI student union for unpaid dues

January 25, 2010

The Canadian Federation of Students has launched a lawsuit against the University of Prince Edward Island's student union for almost $100,000 in unpaid dues. The president of the student union says the group stopped paying dues to the CFS in 2005 because it was not getting enough for its money. The suit has been filed in Charlottetown, and the student union plans to defend it. A trial date has not been set. CBC
