CNC turns to virtual instruction in face of falling enrolment

January 12, 2018

The College of New Caledonia has announced that it will be promoting digital delivery instruction as a method of maintaining popular course offerings in the face of falling enrolment. The Prince George Citizen reports that the college's Burns Lake campus has seen a 36% drop, and Executive Director of Communications Alyson Gourley-Cramer pointed to factors such as rural-urban migration and demographic shifts as contributing factors. The college has been increasing the number of courses delivered digitally year over year. “It really offers much more opportunities for students in their communities, and lets them stay at home and live at home,” said Gourley-Cramer. Prince George Citizen
