Computer science enrolment rises in Canada and the US

According to an annual poll by the Computing Research Association, enrolment among students majoring or intending to major in computer science in Canada and the US is up 6.2% over last year -- the first increase in 6 years. The report found that diversity in undergraduate computer science programs remains poor. Nearly two-thirds of students who received bachelor's degrees in the field last year were white, and over 88% were male.
