Enrolment drops at uSask

November 4, 2008

Total undergraduate enrolment this year at the University of Saskatchewan is down over 2% compared to last year. Factors influencing enrolment include a shortage of high-school graduates in the province, the lure of high-paying jobs, and the increase of university capacity in western Canada, including 5 new universities in BC. uSask has seen an increase in graduate enrolment with a 7% jump this year. The university will review its recruitment and admissions procedures to ensure "we're getting the biggest bang for our buck." uSask On Campus News
