Lethbridge College has made headlines this week for research and development projects focused on environmental sustainability. Through a research project collaboration with EarthRenew Inc and Biome Makers, Lethbridge is supporting regenerative agricultural practices. The partners will work together to assess the effects of EarthRenew’s products on the soil microbiome of potato fields. Lethbridge graduates Amy Gregorchuk, Liudmyla Wagner and Dan Mitchell have also been recognized by the Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta for a capstone project exploring sustainable alternatives for traditional road asphalt. "That combination of intelligence, innovation and ingenuity that leads to all kinds of remarkable things across this province," said Barry Cavanaugh, CEO of ASET.
