If you haven't already come across it, Maclean's university guide editor Tony Keller is maintaining a regular blog describing his ongoing access to information challenge against Canada's universities. He takes uCalgary to task (where he has been trading exchanges with administration in the campus newspaper), criticizes UofT president Naylor's argument that research excellence equals teaching excellence, and wryly observes that Lakehead may have withdrawn from the Maclean's survey, but promoted its rank as "#1 value-added university" for months.
