September 21, 2012

88% of graduates from New Brunswick's publicly-funded universities are working 2 years after graduation, according to a statistical profile the provincial government released Thursday. The profile found that the average salary for university graduates who are working in New Brunswick was nearly $48,000 and that approximately 80% of provincial residents who graduated were still in New Brunswick 2 years later. The profile also includes data on credentials offered at the universities, faculty salaries, expenditures, and research income. The profile includes Mount Allison University, the Université de Moncton, St. Thomas University, and the University of New Brunswick, and was compiled by the province's PSE department using data from the institutions and from the Maritime Provinces Higher Education Commission.
