New NSCC campus faces transit challenges

With only one ferry running at peak times and few transit buses servicing the area, getting 1,800 students to the new
Nova Scotia Community College's Woodside campus is raising concern with local councillors. According to Metro Transit officials, to adequately increase service levels would require buying a new ferry, which comes with a price tag of $6 to $10 million.  Despite the knowledge that hundreds of students will be attending the new campus this fall, Metro Transit can’t do anything until it knows how many will actually rely on transit.  The Chronicle Herald
