New zoning proposed for Red Deer Polytechnic to facilitate growth

July 12, 2021
The City of Red Deer is considering new zoning for Red Deer Polytechnic, which would support the institution’s growth and development. By rezoning the land that the polytechnic is located on as a Post-Secondary Institution (PSI) district, the institution would have the flexibility to expand while also serving the community and being used commercially. “We are excited for the potential flexibility that this new zoning district will allow Red Deer Polytechnic to enhance our main campus to best serve our future learners and valued community members, while continuing to respect the needs of our growing city and region,” said Dr Peter Nunoda, president of Red Deer Polytechnic.
