NSCAD rumoured to end 24-hour studios

April 9, 2009

Student leaders at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design are concerned about a reported proposal by administrators to end 24-hour access to studios as part of cost-cutting measures. The president of the university's student union says locking the doors at 11 pm would affect enrolment, as all-day access appears to be one of the school's main draws. An NSCAD spokeswoman says the school's president is unaware of plans to reduce studio hours, and the move would not save the school a lot of money anyway. CBC
