OUA, AUS, U SPORTS, Canada West cancel fall 2020 sports

U SPORTS, Ontario University Athletics (OUA), Atlantic University Sport (AUS), and the Canada West Athletic Conference have announced that sports scheduled for the fall have been cancelled due to ongoing concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic. With regard to athletic financial awards, U SPORTS has released new eligibility regulations indicating that student athletes impacted by this decision will not consume a year of eligibility, and that member universities will still be permitted to provide student athletes with athletic financial awards this season, even if the delivery of their sport has been compromised. In addition, U Sports stated that decisions regarding university sports after January 1st, 2021 will be made at a later date.
