QC must support immigrant entrepreneurs to help them reach their potential: Opinion

July 22, 2021
A new article penned by Luis Cisneros of HEC Montréal and signed by community members and university faculty argues that Quebec needs to better support immigrant entrepreneurs to contribute to economic growth. The article explains that, based on the results of a study completed by researchers from HEC and the Université de Montréal, the QC entrepreneurial ecosystem’s weakest point is in the area of supporting immigrants. Funding and resources will need to be provided to immigrant entrepreneurs so that they can develop their potential. Additionally, Cisneros argues that the culture must change to make others aware of the difficulties that companies led by newcomers face. Le Devoir (Editorial)
