Residence plan for Georgian College Orillia campus moves ahead

December 2, 2009

A plan to build a student residence at Georgian College's Orillia campus is one step closer to reality as Orillia city council has authorized a pre-servicing agreement with the project's builder. The 200-bed residence was originally scheduled to open this fall, but the project was pushed back because approval was needed to accommodate a city sewer line. The agreement will allow for the construction of a sewer to service the parcel of land next to the campus. The plan to build 50 townhouses beside the college on its westerly property still requires site-plan approval. Orillia Packet & Times
