Saskatchewan freezes funding for FNUC

The Saskatchewan government is withholding $200,000 in operating funds from the First Nations University of Canada until aggressive changes are made at the beleaguered institution. In December, the Canadian Association of University Teachers censured FNUC. An internal report obtained by the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix states that the school's survival depends on officials' willingness to make immediate "fundamental changes."
