SaskPolytech cuts athletics program

Saskatchewan Polytechnic has cut its athletics program, according to CBC, and the decision has an outcry from students and the community. “I had shoulders to cry on during the very difficult times of nursing school,” said Amaruks basketball player Jessica Morrow. “I don't know where I would be without that support system.” In a letter to students, SaskPolytech stated that it will implement a “wellness strategy” to offset the cuts to the athletics program.
