July 8, 2021
Three Queen’s University students are facing provincial charges under the Reopening Ontario Act after police were called to break up a massive street party in Kingston, Ontario with hundreds of attendees. Photos and video documentation of the party showed partygoers interacting without social distancing, setting off fireworks, climbing on roofs, smashing a car in, and at least one fight. Kingston Police have said that the identities of the three students will be shared with Queen’s administration, which will determine if they could be disciplined under the Student Code of Conduct.
