uAlberta receives $25 million for clean energy research

The Alberta government announced yesterday a $25-million grant to the University of Alberta to advance clean energy research. In September, uAlberta signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres to establish the Helmholtz Alberta Initiative, a 5-year research venture that will address key challenges encountered when advancing the sustainable development of Alberta's oil sands.
