uManitoba raises $215 M, plans to double amount

The University of Manitoba has announced that it has raised over $215 M as part of the most ambitious fundraising campaign ever undertaken by a public institution in Manitoba. However, the university plans to raise more than double this amount by the time the campaign ends in 2017. The amount raised so far through the Front and Centre campaign was announced during halftime at a Winnipeg Blue Bombers game last Saturday. The Winnipeg Free Press has reported that $100 M of the funds will be allocated for student financial aid, with an additional $65 M allocated to support Indigenous students and programming. uManitoba | Winnipeg Free Press
