The Bureau of Intervention and Harassment Prevention at Université du Québec à Montréal opened at least 162 cases in the 2014-15 academic year, according to the Bureau’s annual report. The report states that over half of the opened cases concerned individuals who felt harassed, including 56 allegations of disturbing psychological behaviour, 19 claims of sexual harassment, and 12 claims of discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, and other factors. Another 72 cases concerned people who had visited the Bureau with concerns about incivility, conflict, fear of being perceived as having committed harassment, or simply to get information.
