US boom in female, minority enrolment to taper in 2016:

June 4, 2007

Female and minority enrolments are continuing to increase, according to a new report in the US.  By 2016, women are expected to represent 60% of total undergrad enrolment south of the border.  Minority students represent close to half of an overall 57% increase in college and university enrolments in the US since 1976.  Enrolment by both demographic groups is expected to slow after 2016. The Chronicle of Higher Education (Subscription Required)
