uSask completes first stand-alone childcare facility

October 19, 2016

The University of Saskatchewan has completed its stand-alone childcare building, creating space for 90 children between six months and six years of age and raising the number of childcare spaces on campus to 200. The majority of childcare spaces are for the children of university students, reports the StarPhoenix, since childcare access can be a challenge for this group. The rest of the spaces are made available to children of university faculty and staff. The $4.3M project was funded by the university and the Saskatchewan government.
